According to data from the human resources consultancy Mercer, almost 40% of US companies consider June 19 as a paid holiday, which is a significant increase from 9% two years ago.
On June 19, Monday of this 2023, International Emancipation Day is celebrated. It became a federal holiday in 2021, after President Joe Biden signed the June 19 National Independence Day Act.

The United States Post Office will remain closed and will not deliver mail on Monday.
