As Donald Trump’s legal adviser, Pat Cipollone, warned him about the violence that gripped the Capitol on January 6, 2021, the tenant of the White House did not ” nothing ” wanted to do to prevent it. This was declared by Cassidy Hutchinson, who was the assistant to the chief of staff of the previous president of the United States, on Tuesday, June 28, before the commission of inquiry into the assault on the Capitol.
The White House aide also described President Trump’s anger and frustration when security services refused to drive him to the Capitol. “I’m the fucking president, take me to the Capitol”, would have demanded Donald Trump. Wanting to join the insurgent crowd, he “grab the steering wheel” of the presidential car to try to get there, before being prevented from doing so.
