The French champion was bid farewell to the biggest European competition in the round of 16 by Real Madrid, who continued to make his way and reached the final to face Liverpool.
However, Ronaldinho does not believe that his former team needs to make major changes in his squad, but rather insists that the new players should be given time to adapt to their new environment, and to the style of play of Saint-Germain.
The retired star asked in an interview with Radio “Monte Carlo”, laughing: “Do you want to change everything? You want to get what? The worst players in the world?”
Ronaldinho continued: “You have to wait until they (the new players) understand this new way of living and playing football. The rest will come little by little. This adaptation is natural until things go the right way.”
The former player also praised the stars of Paris Saint-Germain, saying: “Neymar is one of the best players in the world. He has suffered many injuries this year. When he is 100 percent fit, he is a really special player for this team. Neymar, (Angel) Di Maria, (Lionel) Messi. The best players together. If you’re not happy with this, who are you going to play for?”.
Ronaldinho also expressed his confidence that the brilliant striker, Kylian Mbappe, would become the best player in the world, and added: “I love him so much.”
He commented on Mbappe’s mysterious future, as his contract with the club expires within weeks, saying: “The most important thing is that he is happy, and the rest will come naturally. He will become the best player in the world. The rest is up to him to decide where he will play and what he wants to do.”
Ronaldinho played in the Paris Saint-Germain shirt between 2001 and 2003, and from there he moved to Barcelona, Spain, where he presented his best levels throughout his career.
