Celebrity MasterChef has revealed a new winner for the 2024 series.
Strictly Come Dancing professional Vito Coppola , 31, fought off stiff competition from presenter Craig Doyle, 53, and actress Rochenda Sandall, 35, to emerge victorious in the nail-biting final.
Vito impressed judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with his Italian-inspired menu, with his special dessert being just like the one his beloved mother and Nonna used to make.
Speaking after his win, the astounded Italian dancer exclaimed: ‘I cannot believe it! Look [the trophy] it’s so beautiful.
‘People think that food is just food, but no, I keep saying food is life. It’s the first love of my life, food, and I cannot just wait to share all of this with my family.’

Immediately after his win, Vito called his delighted Nonno (grandfather) to tell him the amazing news, saying in Italian: ‘Nonno, I won! I won with your ingredients. I came first! I love you.’
Fans of the show were left feeling emotional at Vito’s ‘well deserved win’ as they shared their thoughts on X.

John Torode said of Vito: ‘Vito came into this competition with a purpose he wanted to show us his life on a plate. What he’s grown up with, the food he loves and why he loves it, and what he’s done is made us love it too. That’s what good food is all about.’
While Gregg Wallace added: ‘He’s in love with creativity. He is something quite special.’
Vito and his fellow finalists had a tough but exhilarating final week in which to showcase their exemplary culinary skills for the judges.

Firstly, they were tasked with taking charge of the lunch service on the luxurious British Pullman train.
Before then whipping up a dish which is inspired by someone special in their lives.
The most daunting and hardest challenge was their penultimate task – The Chef’s Table.
The trio had to up their game and produce an exquisite dish for a table of six gastronomic trailblazers including a double Michelin-starred chef.
The final culinary task saw Vito, Craig and Rochenda asked to whip up their Ultimate Dinner Party Menu, with the two courses needing to be the best food they’d ever produced.
In a bid to impress, Vito opted to serve a main of Scialatielli Allo Scoglio – an Italian seafood pasta dish packed with clams, mussels and prawns.
While his dessert was named Babà Di Vito, a small cake soaked in rum and served with zabaione, a marsala wine cream and cherries in syrup.
Discussing his menu, Vito shared: ‘One day, my family and I went to Positano and we had this Scialatielli Allo Scoglio, just eating in front of the sea. It was one of the best days ever, so I want to bring that day to MasterChef.
‘The dessert is Babà, which is like my mum and my Nonna used to make for me on Sunday.’

Vito’s victory comes after Celebrity MasterChef fans were left fuming on Wednesday night as Harry Aikines-Aryeetey missed out on a place in the final despite Craig Doyle making a huge mistake.
The latest episode of the BBC show saw Gladiator Harry, presenter Craig, Vito and Rochenda battle it out for a spot in the top three, with the group tasked with making a dish inspired by someone special to them.

While Harry, 36, rustled up an apple and plum in tribute to his mum, Craig, 53, opted for a lemon tart with four meringues dedicated to his four children – however, the This Morning star made a major error with his recipe.
