On Wednesday, the 24-year-old singer shared a close-up photo of herself with tears on her face, captioned with the provocative question, “Who ate all the p—y.”
The post quickly drew a mix of reactions from her 11 million followers. Many expressed genuine concern for her well-being, with comments like, “Is she ok? She does not seem like she’s ok.” Others directed criticism toward her parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, while some speculated the post was an attempt to troll her audience.
Smith addressed the backlash hours later in a follow-up video, dismissing the concerns as an overreaction. She referred to her worried followers as “dense” and wrote that “y’all forgot funny existed!” In another message, she compared them to “molasses… slow but also sweet though.”
However, her explanation failed to ease the minds of many onlookers. Some social media users suggested her demeanor in the follow-up videos was also unsettling, fueling further speculation about her state of mind.
Smith has previously been open about her personal life, having come out as bisexual in 2019 and later identifying as polyamorous.
