Willow Smith is once again expressing her unique identity, this time by adding a new piece to her growing collection of tattoos. The singer and actress, known for her distinct personal style, made the decision after completing a successful summer music tour across the United States.
Smith, the 24-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, is recognized for her spiritual and philosophical approach to life, which is often reflected in her body art. Her existing tattoos include a depiction of a hand reaching toward the solar system, symbolizing a connection with the universe, and a lotus flower she got alongside her mother and grandmother.
During an episode of their show Red Table Talk, where the trio received matching lotus tattoos, Smith explained the design’s significance. “The lotus represents spiritual enlightenment,” she said. “We hear the saying, ‘In the mud grows the lotus’… I think all of us, from different perspectives, have walked that path.”
On the same show, she recalled her father’s supportive reaction to her first large tattoo, a half-sleeve design. “I showed it to him and he said: ‘Everything is in divine order, your path is your path and I love you,'” the artist revealed.
Smith’s latest tattoo was reportedly done while her father was vacationing in Spain. While Will Smith has not commented publicly, his past reactions suggest a supportive stance. The new ink further underscores Willow’s commitment to forging her own path, expressing her individuality through both her art and personal choices.
