CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A major winter snowstorm hit Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky on Sunday and Local 12’s reporters took to the streets for detailed coverage in Hamilton, Green Township and Florence.
Butler County’s 911 Dispatch Center was getting an influx of calls for crashes. As of Sunday night, there were 43 accidents and 11 of them had injuries. Local 12’s Paige Barnes was live in Hamilton.
A plow truck driver in Green Township told Local 12’s Tyler Madden, “All you can really do is just plow it you know. Try to get it down to bare asphalt but the challenge with that is you’ve got 20-degree weather trucks freezing up and going down.”
Over in Florence, stores near the mall closed early Sunday morning. Local 12’s Katie Amrhein was covering the difficult road conditions near that area.
