The Iranian Foreign Ministry said that its Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, received today, Tuesday, the Secretary-General of the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, as part of the first meeting of the joint political consultative committee between the two countries.
The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed the need to implement the joint agreements between the two countries, which were signed during the visit of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to Qatar months ago.
Today, the first meeting of the political consultations committee between Qatar and Iran was held in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The Qatari delegation was headed by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed bin Hassan Al-Hammadi, while the Iranian delegation was headed by Ali Bagheri, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, according to a statement by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The statement said that during the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.
