Wives are upgrading their engagement rings as males often select ‘safe’ layouts when proposing 

It is a pattern favoured by Victoria Beckham and the Duchess of Sussex. 

Now quite a few other married girls are opting to up grade or alter engagement rings.

Jewellers say adult males tend to choose a ‘safe’ style and design to propose with, but some wives later on tailor it to their individual flavor when the pair can afford to. 

Emma Clarkson Webb, centered in London’s Hatton Backyard jewellery quarter, instructed The Sunday Instances: ‘It’s not unheard of to want to upgrade or enlarge stone size with an engagement ring. 

‘Often this is carried out to celebrate a milestone anniversary.’
