A girl has been arrested after a baby was stabbed to demise and one other was rushed to hospital in Belfast.
Police have launched a homicide investigation after the incident involving the 2 younger youngsters in the Ardoyne space within the north of the town on Tuesday night.
Ambulance crews had earlier taken the 2 youngsters to hospital following what is known to have been a home stabbing incident in Brompton Park.

Police later confirmed {that a} baby had died.
It’s understood the opposite baby is being handled for accidents in hospital.
‘Police have commenced a homicide investigation following the demise of a kid within the Brompton Park space of north Belfast this night and made one arrest in relation to this,’ mentioned a Police Service of Northern Eire spokesman.
‘The investigation is at an early stage and additional data will probably be supplied sooner or later.’
North Belfast MP John Finucane tweeted: ‘Police have now confirmed a homicide investigation into tonight’s tragic incident in Ardoyne with one individual arrested.

‘Our ideas are with all these concerned.’
SDLP deputy chief and North Belfast MLA Nichola Mallon mentioned the local people was in shock.
‘It is necessary that the PSNI are given the area and full co-operation to completely examine this horrible incident,’ she mentioned.
The Northern Eire Ambulance Service acquired a 999 name at 8.16pm on Tuesday.
A speedy response paramedic and two emergency crews attended.
