Woman is bitten on the foot by a shark at a popular Western Australia surf spot forcing lifeguards to shut the beach

A swimmer has been bitten on the foot by a shark at a popular beach in Western Australia.
The 46-year-old woman is believed to have been bitten at around 10.30am on Saturday at Cowaramup Bay beach, off Gracetown, around 220km south of Perth.
The beach will remain closed for 24 hours and the woman was taken to the Margaret River hospital with minor injuries.
Surf Lifesaving WA reported a shark had been sighted around 50m offshore.
It’s unclear what type of shark had bitten the woman.
