Women represent 27% of the jobs generated by GM in Mexico

In less than a decade, General Motors succeeded in doubling the number of jobs for women, reaching 27% of total staff in Mexico, and within the framework of the Commemoration of International Women’s Day, it promised to continue accelerating the integration of more women in all functions.

“On the path to becoming the most diverse and inclusive company, one of our key pillars is the inclusion of women in our work team. For years, we have implemented actions that favor gender equality at all levels of the organization, while guaranteeing equal pay,” said María Zambrano, director of human resources for General Motors de México.

Zambrano said that more than 1,500 women work in the manufacturing complex located in San Luis Potosí, who with their talent and effort challenge industry paradigms and together with a diverse team contribute to the production of vehicles such as the GMC Terrain, which in addition to marketed in Mexico is exported to the United States, Canada and the Middle East.
