Works on the Monterrey-Colombia highway are advancing and an overpass will be built in Salinas Victoria

Monterrey, NL. The Governor of Nuevo Leon, Samuel Garcia Sepulvedasupervised this Friday, January 26, the progress of highway works Monterrey-Colombia, in Salinas Victoria, where he announced the construction of an overpass over the train tracks in the municipality, to expedite mobility in the state.

The overpass will be located at the junction of the Line B Mexico-Nuevo Laredo railway, on the Monterrey-Colombia highway.

“This bridge is urgent so as not to create a bottleneck, because here are (the parks) Hofusan and Interport; Besides, there are many industrial buildings that had difficulties with the train”, pointed out García Sepúlveda.

In turn, the director of the Strategic Projects Trust (Fideproes), José Francisco Gutiérrez, explained that the overpass will have a length of 600 linear meters.

It will have two traffic lanes in each direction and return points in both directions, through a complete road of 31.10 meters; with a clear height of 8 meters and a railway right of way of 40 meters.

He estimated that the new work should be ready in 10 months and is part of the comprehensive actions that are planned to give better mobility to the inhabitants of the entire state.

Regarding the modernization of the State Highway 001 Salinas Victoria, an A4 type project with a section width of 15.30 meters and 22 kilometers in length, the laying of the asphalt layer is carried out, as well as the laying of the base cemented.

The work is made up of two stages that have reached a physical progress of 55% and a total investment of 358.87 million pesos.

The governor was accompanied by the Secretary of Mobility and Urban Planning, Hernán Villarreal; the Undersecretary of Infrastructure, José Ibargüengoitia; and the director of the Strategic Projects Trust, José Francisco Gutiérrez, the state president pointed out that, in five years, the infrastructure that has not been done in 40 years will be built in Nuevo León.

He stressed that before the arrival of foreign investment, this route is of the utmost importance for the entity.

“Today we have a line of companies that want to reach Nuevo León,” said the governor.

“Last year we presumed that in Nuevo León we opened a transnational company per week; this year there will be two and as an example, this week three were opened and it looks like very large companies will arrive in Valle de Salinas (Victoria), El Carmen, García and Santa Catarina”.

Strengthen security

On the other hand, Governor Samuel García gave the conference: “Security Strategy and Situation in Economic, Social, Diplomatic and Technological Policies Matters”, in the Multimedia Auditorium of the IV Military Region.

The president said that what follows is to shield Nuevo León, because with the construction of roads and the Customs of the Colombia Bridge, a great economic boom is expected for the entity, for which reason work is being done on the shielding, with the construction of several detachments.

Currently, Cerralvo, Galeana, Vallecillo, Salinas Victoria and Santiago are being built in Colombia, and works will begin this year in China, Doctor Arroyo and Sabinas Hidalgo.
