The Emergency Committee of the World Health Organization announced its opposition to the request for vaccination certificates against the emerging corona virus, a condition for allowing travel between countries.
The committee said in its recommendations: “There are still many major unknowns regarding the effectiveness of vaccines in terms of reducing virus transmission, and vaccines are currently available in limited quantities.”
She added, “Proof of vaccination should not exclude other preventive health measures.”
For his part, Committee Chairman Didier Hussein said, “The world is in a race with the Corona virus, which has begun to mutate,” noting that “these new variables need rapid and intense research.”
He added, “It is clear that the issue of air, land and sea travel may need better organization.”
