(Trends Wide Español) — Young Dolph died Wednesday in a shooting in Memphis. He joins the list of other rappers in the US who have died in violent events in recent years. Here are some of them.

Young Dolph was reportedly shopping for cookies at a bakery in Memphis, Tennessee, when someone approached in a car and shot him.
“There is no suspect at this time,” said the Memphis Police Department.
The rapper debuted with “King of Memphis” in 2016. Among his hits are the songs “Blue Diamonds” and “RNB” with Megan Thee Stallion.
His fifth studio album, “Rich Slave” of 2020, peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart.
His real name was Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr .. He was 36 years old.
Huey
Rapper Huey, from St. Louis, was killed in a shooting in Kinloch, Missouri, on June 26, 2020.
“Detectives believe that ten other people were present at and around the crime scene during the incident,” police said.
Huey was especially known for his 2007 hit “Pop, Lock & Drop It.”
His real name was Lawrence Franks Jr. He was 32 years old.
Pop Smoke
Rapper Pop Smoke was killed during a home invasion in Hollywood Hills, California, on February 19, 2020.
Police received a call reporting that one of his friends’ houses was being broken into and that one of the suspects was armed with a pistol.
The rapper had become famous with the release of his debut mixtape, “Meet the Woo”, influenced by the trap “Welcome to the Party”.
His real name was Bashar Barakah Jackson. I was 20 years old.
Rapper Bvlly
Bvlly, of Toronto, was killed in a shooting on Christmas Eve 2019 in Oshawa, in what police called a homicide.
The rapper was found with multiple gunshot wounds, the Durham Regional Police Service said. And he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bvlly released their first single, “No Light Bag”, in 2018 and just released their first album, “Made In Austria”, in September.
His name was Jahquar Stewart. He was 24 years old.
Tre Da Kid
Rapper Tre Da Kid of Chester was found dead from gunshot wounds after his car crashed in Annapolis, Maryland on June 9, 2019.
Officers received a call about shooting and found a vehicle crashed at the scene.
In 2016 he won Verizon’s # Freestyle50 rap contest.
His name was Edward Montre Seay. He was 32 years old.
Rapper Nipsey Hussle
Rapper Nipsey Hussle died after a shooting near a clothing store he was associated with in Los Angeles on March 31, 2019.
His latest post on Twitter read: “Having strong enemies is a blessing.”
In 2010, the rapper founded the record label All Money In, which debuted with the release of “The Marathon.”
His real name was Ermias Asghedom. He was 34 years old.
XXXTentacion
Plantation rapper XXXTentacion was shot dead in an apparent robbery case in Broward County, Florida on June 19, 2018.
The rapper was leaving a store when two men in a vehicle shot and killed him in an apparent assault, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Department.
His song “Look at Me” went viral on social media and on the SoundCloud platform in 2016.
His real name was Jahseh Onfroy. I was 20 years old.
El rapero Lil Loaded
Lil Loaded died in an apparent suicide case on June 1, 2021, his lawyer Ashkan Mehryari told Trends Wide.
“I can sadly confirm that Mr. Robertson passed away as a result of what was reported as a suicide,” Mehryari wrote. The rapper was facing a manslaughter charge, according to court records.
His song ‘6Locc 6A6y’ had obtained a gold certificate from the Recording Industry Association of America a few days earlier.
