With summer temperatures often soaring into the high 90s, visitors should prepare for the heat. To stay comfortable, it is essential to remain hydrated with water while limiting sugary beverages and coffee, which can contribute to dehydration. Wearing light-colored, lightweight apparel, along with a hat or visor, will help mitigate the effects of the sun. Scheduling a lunch break during the hottest part of the day also provides a welcome escape into an air-conditioned environment.
For a more direct way to beat the heat, Hersheypark features The Boardwalk, an 11-acre water park containing one million gallons of water. It includes 16 distinct water attractions designed for all ages, from high-intensity water slides and a relaxing lazy river to a splash pad with zero-depth entry for the youngest guests.
To help visitors stay hydrated, the park permits each guest to bring in one sealed water bottle or an empty reusable bottle. Free water and ice are dispensed at all Pepsi Fast Fill locations, and bottle-filling stations are situated throughout the park. Additionally, complimentary cups of water are available upon request at all park-owned food and beverage vendors.
