Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova
A spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated that the United States would consider any country its opponent if the latter was a competitor to it in any field.
Commenting on the statement of US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, about Washington’s opponents, Zakharova said in her interview with “Moscow Speaks” radio, today, Thursday: “It (the United States) will be considered a major enemy for it whoever competes with it in any field. Its alliance (the US alliance with the West headed by Washington) must offer and unite it. Another factor is the losing competition that it cannot conduct on an internationally recognized basis. Thus, Russia’s deterrence aims to prevent our country from the opportunity to compete on an equal footing and advance on it on an equal footing. Equality in some field, for example in the international arena, and on the basis of law. China faces the same problem “with the United States.
