A goalless draw decided the match between Egyptian Zamalek and its Senegalese host Tongith, which brought them together today, Tuesday, in the second round of the fourth group in the African Champions League.
The “White Castle” players could not decipher the goalkeeper’s nets, despite the many opportunities that were available to them, so that Zamalek tied in the second consecutive match in the group, after it drew in the first round without goals also against MCA.
With this draw, Zamalek, the runner-up of the last edition of the tournament, raised its tally to two points in second place behind Tunisia’s Esperance leader (three points), who later today faces Mouloudia Algiers, third-placed (one point).
On the other hand, Tongith scored his first point in the tournament after losing 2-1 to Esperance in the first round.
