Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif confirmed in an interview with the American “CNN” channel, that it was the United States that left the JCPOA and violated it.
“Iran has taken remedial measures and the United States must return to compliance, and then Iran will immediately cancel the remedial measures,” he added on Twitter.
Zarif stressed that “the joint committee coordinator can work in consultation with Iran and the United States.”
In a previous statement to “IRNA”, Zarif said, commenting on the impact of the appointment of Robert Molly as an envoy to the US administration for Iran affairs: “What matters to us is not individuals, as Molly was present in the nuclear negotiations and he is like other members of Biden’s team.”
He added, “What we will pay attention to is the Biden administration’s measures to effectively cancel the embargo that was imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran during the Trump era, and when we see these measures, we will certainly respond.”
