He was preceded in these accusations by South Korean Defense Minister Kim Jong-hyun, who announced before a session of his country’s parliament – last Tuesday – that there is a “high possibility” that North Korea is sending forces to help Russia in the war with Ukraine.
He added, “The news that spoke about the killing of North Korean soldiers in a Ukrainian raid on territory controlled by Russia is most likely true.”
In response to these accusations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters – last Thursday – when asked whether North Korea was sending troops to fight in Ukraine, “This appears to be another piece of fake news.”
Russian attacks
In conjunction with the accusations he made Zelensky told North Korea, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that it repelled a major attack by Russian forces near Krakhov, one of the main centers of fighting in eastern Ukraine.

She added, “Russian force reinforcements were destroyed by Ukrainian artillery and suicide drones. The paratroopers headquarters stated that 7 infantry fighting vehicles and two tanks were destroyed.”
In total, about 80 Russian attacks were recorded on the Eastern Front during the day, according to the General Staff in Kiev. Reports said that the biggest flashpoints of tension were in Pokrovsk and Krakhov.
