Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane, the French club, expressed his happiness with the victory (1-0) against Valladolid, yesterday, Saturday, in the 24th round of the Spanish Football League.
Zidane said after the match, in statements highlighted by the Spanish newspaper, Marca: “There is no need for me to send a message to the players, it is an important victory, and the fourth in a row, and we must continue to work.”
Regarding the case of Real’s top scorer, Karim Benzema, who missed the Valladolid match due to injury, Zizou commented: “We will see tomorrow (Sunday), so I cannot tell you now, and we will not risk him. Next Wednesday in the first leg of the Champions League final).
He added: “We are in good condition, and we have continuity in the results, and the whole team is defending very well, and we will prepare for Wednesday’s match against Atalanta in the best way possible.”
He continued: “Casemiro (who scored the winning goal against Valladolid)? We know him well and we know the position he occupies, and we know that he is paying. He scored a goal today (yesterday) and I am happy with him, but I am happy for the whole team.”
Real Madrid raised its score to 52 points, second in the Spanish League table, 3 points behind leaders Atlético de Madrid, who has a postponed match, while Valladolid stuck at 21 points in the nineteenth place penultimate.
