Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane expressed his dissatisfaction with the defeat by “Alquiano”, the third division team (1-2), and the exit from the 32nd round of the Spanish Cup soccer competition.
Zidane said, during statements reported by the Spanish newspaper “Marca”: “In fact, we tried, we got chances to score the second goal, but we failed. We are in a difficult moment, we had to do something else but we tried.”

He added: “I think that this is my responsibility as a coach, and this is football. You should take advantage of the opportunities, but the ball did not want to go into the net, well we bid farewell to the competition.”
The French coach added: “Shame? This is your opinion, but this is football. We should have won the match against a third-class team, but it is not a disgrace. These things happen and we must assume responsibility and continue working. It is a painful day because we do not like to lose.”
He continued: “The players have faith in me? I think so. We tried and did good things this season, but not recently, and you have to ask the players about that.”
Asked if he was worried about staying in his position, he replied: “When we lose you talk but I am calm, and when we are on the field what the players want is to win, and let’s face it, and we will see what happens these days.”
He completed “the most painful defeat? All defeats are painful as usual.”
