NBA champion Andrew Bogut has said Zion Williamson’s alleged affair with porn star Moriah Mills is a ‘common occurrence’, revealing he had seen it happen with teammates, before branding the wider media’s coverage of the situation ‘disgusting.’
Bogut offered wide-ranging comments on his Rogue Bogues podcast, dismissing the hysteria surrounding Williamson’s alleged behavior following a gender reveal with his girlfriend, not Mills, last week.
‘If you think this is a one-off in the NBA, you’re very wrong, you’re very wrong,’ Bogut said. ‘This is a common occurrence on many teams I’ve been, this is a common occurrence amongst the league, where they are different relationships and that’s how they have their relationships.
‘Some [partners] know about it, some don’t — but this this is not this is not something you need to be shocked about because it happens a lot. There’s girls I know for a fact there are players’ payrolls to be a side girl. Unfortunately, the stupidity of that is that tap cannot get turned off, bro.’
Mills has put Williamson on blast from last Wednesday onward, and has – among other things – said he ‘better pray’ she isn’t pregnant and leaked texts, allegedly from the Pelicans star, urging her to delete the Twitter tirades.
Zion Williamson (L) has become the talk of Twitter and the NBA world since the pregnancy reveal last week and the subsequent allegations put forward by porn star Moriah Mills (R)
Former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Bogut has shed light on how situations like Williamson’s are relatively ‘common’ throughout the NBA — revealing they had occurred with some teammates
Williamson has yet to make comment of any kind on the social media hysteria. Last Thursday night, a woman named Yamille Taylor blasted the 22-year-old, calling him a ‘sex addict.’
Despite the circus, Williamson was present as his foundation announced a partnership with Jefferson Parish Schools — a system of 81 schools with approximately 50,000 children in Louisiana’s largest district — Friday. Williamson’s foundation pledged $250,000 to the system, providing help for those who need uniforms.
‘Once you’re paying a girl or man – this could go either way, these days — you’re paying a side piece to be a side piece — the moment you stop paying that side piece, your wife’s going to find out about it, bro, that’s just the way the world works,’ Bogut explained.
‘So the moment you’re like, “Holy s***, I’ve retired I can’t keep paying you 20k a month to be my side piece because I can’t afford it anymore”, that’s gonna go public. That’s just the reality of the world. I saw it mainly in silence in the NBA, I had some some people that I played with and against that were paying people off and whatnot. It’s normal bro, I have to say it’s normal.’
Bogut — who played 15 seasons in the league for the Bucks, Warriors, Mavs, Lakers and Cavs — provided an anecdote of when he first entered the Association whereby the NBA explained some of the schemes used by money-hungry women.

Williamson and his girlfriend shared a behind the scenes look at their gender reveal June 6
Williamson was described as a ‘nasty sex addict’ by Yamille Taylor, a ‘digital creator’ (above)
‘[At] our rookie transition program… they were telling there was a group of girls at one point before I got in the league that would take the condom when the guy was finished, and take it – wherever it was out of the bin or whatever – drop it outside the door to another girl, and then try to get impregnated that way. Not the best way to get impregnated, but there were scenes like that.
‘There were cases where, you know, female said they’d been violently abused in a room, and then there was elevator footage of them punching themselves, you know, so there’s schemes to get these players, to knock them up, to get money out of them.’
Though, the Australian refused to place all of the blame on the ‘side pieces’ whom NBA players associate with, attributing partial responsibility to Williamson, in this case.
‘I’m not always saying it’s not the players fault because it takes two to tango, but the fact the media loves this stuff, I hate it. I think it’s disgusting to do this, but if you’re Zion you got to be smarter than that man. You just can’t be doing that stuff.’
