Pop superstar Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were spotted dining together at a Montreal restaurant on Monday evening.
The two met at the upscale restaurant Le Violon, where they were seen engaged in conversation over cocktails and shared dishes, including lobster. An eyewitness noted that security personnel for both individuals were present, monitoring from the bar. Following their meal, Perry and Trudeau reportedly visited the kitchen to personally thank the staff.
Perry is currently in Canada for her concert tour, with upcoming performances scheduled in Ottawa and a return to Montreal.
The meeting has attracted attention as both public figures are recently single. Perry and actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares a daughter, ended their relationship earlier this year. Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau announced their separation in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. While the nature of the dinner is unknown, it marks a notable meeting between the worlds of entertainment and politics.
