Central Florida is experiencing a gradual warming trend ahead of an approaching upper-level weather system. This system is forecast to form a low-pressure area off the Southeast coast, which will draw a cool front through the region late Sunday into Monday.
Sunday and Monday
High pressure will keep conditions mostly dry on Sunday, with light northeasterly winds of 5-10 mph and seasonable highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. A few brief showers may develop in the late afternoon.
As the weather system approaches, moisture will increase late Sunday into Monday, bringing a 20-30% chance of isolated to scattered showers. Following the passage of a cool front on Monday, daytime temperatures will fall into the low to mid-70s.
Overnight lows are expected to be in the mid-50s to low 60s Sunday night, dropping into the 50s across the region by Monday night.
Tuesday through Saturday
For the remainder of the week, a high-pressure system is expected to build over the Southeast, ensuring predominantly dry conditions. Winds on Tuesday will be from the north-northeast at 10-15 mph before weakening and shifting to an onshore flow by mid-week.
While widespread rain is not anticipated, a few light coastal showers may be possible in the latter half of the week. Temperatures will gradually climb, starting in the mid to upper 70s on Tuesday and returning to the 80s for the weekend.
