The Army Black Knights (5-4), having won four of their last five games, are on the verge of bowl eligibility as they prepare to host the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (3-7) in an American Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.
Coming off a bye week, Army will play its final home game of the season. The Black Knights last defeated Temple 14-13 on November 8, improving their conference record to 3-3. The team is led by Cale Hellums, who has 829 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, complemented by 402 passing yards and two scores. Defensively, Andon Thomas leads with 77 tackles (47 solo), while Casey Larkin and Gavin Shields each have two interceptions.
Tulsa enters the game with renewed confidence after snapping a five-game losing streak with a 31-14 non-conference victory over Oregon State. The Golden Hurricane established a 31-0 lead before securing the win. In that game, Dominic Richardson rushed for 166 yards and a touchdown, while quarterback Baylor Hayes completed 12 of 19 passes for 163 yards and a touchdown to Brody Foley. Despite the recent success, Tulsa remains winless in conference play at 0-6.
The teams have split their two previous meetings. In their last encounter, Army secured a dominant 49-7 victory at Tulsa during their 2024 American championship season.
