Greece was hit by an earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Authority said Wednesday.
The agency said it recorded a 5.2-magnitude earthquake, which occurred 49 km northwest of the Greek city of Patras, which is home to 168,000 people.
She added that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred at a depth of 5 km, while weaker earthquakes were detected in the same area.
The authority indicated that this earthquake is the fifth that has occurred in Greece during the last 5 days.
So far, there have been no reports of injuries or material damage due to the earthquake.
