6 alleged kidnappers of Americans in Matamoros are linked to the process

Federal authorities reported that there are six people with links to the process for the kidnapping of four Americans and the murder of two of them in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, during a violent act that occurred on March 3.

“At the moment there are six people arrested for these events, one of them, named José “N”, found in flagrante delicto, linked to the process for aggravated kidnapping. As well as five more linked to the process for aggravated kidnapping and intentional simple homicide: Antonio “N”, Luis “N”, Ever “N”, Juan Francisco “N” and Gustavo “N”, it was reported.

The federal government added that the above occurred in coordination with the authorities of the state of Tamaulipas, who confiscated three weapons from the suspects, two long and one short, one of which coincides with the ballistic evidence of the case, as well as eight magazines different calibers, 93 cartridges and two tactical vests.

In addition to the fact that five vehicles related to the events are insured: a Pacific van, property of the victims; as well as three more vans and an ambulance, used to transport the four missing US citizens and later found in a cabin, one wounded, one unharmed and two more lifeless.

Likewise, it was indicated that three properties that are in the process of investigation were seized: the property with the wooden house in the Ejido el Tecolote; in addition to the Spanish Clinical Analysis Laboratory and the San Ángel Clinic.

Regarding the victims, it was reported that on Tuesday, March 7, the uninjured woman and the injured man were handed over to the United States government, while on Thursday, March 9, the protocol for the delivery of the bodies of the two Americans who They lost their lives.

And it was indicated that the investigation is in the hands of the State Prosecutor’s Office and the Secretariat of National Defense, the Secretary of the Navy, the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, the Conase, the local Secretary of Security and the delegation in Tamaulipas participate with it. of the Attorney General of the Republic.

It should be noted that five of the defendants were “turned over” on March 9 by the Escorpión Group, belonging to the Gulf Cartel, as part of an “apology” to society.
