The government of Sudan signs an agreement with the northern sector

The head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council / Abdel Fattah al-Burhan / the leader of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement – Northern Sector / Abdel Aziz Al-Hilu / signed a declaration of principles.

It provides for the building of a federal state and the formation of a unified army in which the armed movements in the country will be integrated. Al-Burhan described the agreement, which came after negotiations in Juba, as the real beginning of the transitional period in Sudan.
