Lewandowski leads Poland’s list to face Qatar 2022 group C

The Poland coach, Czeslaw Michniewicz, unveiled this Thursday the list of 26 players summoned for the Qatar-2022 World Cup, with the attacker Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona), as expected, as a great star.

“Choosing the team for this World Cup is the most important decision of my life,” said Michniewicz.

“None of these 26 players go there to just enjoy the atmosphere. They all have such a high level and value that I can trust each one at all times,” he said.

“Among the archers, Wojciech Szczesny (Juventus) is our first option, nothing has changed,” he said, noting that the team will have only three goalkeepers to have one more available field player.

“I do not hide that I have talked for a long time (about the national team) yesterday (Wednesday) with Robert (Lewandowski), I presented my way of reasoning to him. Out of respect for the captain (of the national team) and that great player,” explained the coach.

In the group C of the World Cup, Poland will have as rivals Mexico (November 22), Saudi Arabia (November 26) and Argentina (November 30).
