Her family announced that she had been kidnapped, but Ihsan surprised everyone through a video that she had not been kidnapped, but rather left the country of her own free will, to marry someone she thinks is suitable for her.

Ihsan said in the recording that she was threatened by her family if she married her South Sudanese lover, even though he is a Muslim, noting that she was subjected to beatings, abuse, deprivation and severe psychological pressure.

New pictures of the Sudanese girl were spread with her husband, in which she appeared without a hijab, while Sudanese media reported that Ehsan and her husband had obtained asylum in Sweden.

Ihssan Adam is a heroine who defended her right to marry With whom she loves, without a guardian, when the father refused to marry her with the one she loves for racist reasons.
The conservative Sudanese society is strict in marriage and the need to fulfill the requirements, especially religious ones, and adheres to strict customs and traditions regarding women and marriage.
