“Al Ain Sports” newspaper reported that the Egyptian Football Association will address the Liverpool administration after the end of this March to request that its star, Mohamed Salah, be included in the list of “Pharaohs”, for reference in the Tokyo Olympics.
“Al Ain Sports” quoted the coach of the Egyptian Olympic team, Shawky Gharib, as saying that they had received a request from the International Football Association stating that all available players should be placed on an open list for the Tokyo Olympics, indicating that Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool player, is at the top of the list.
Gharib indicated that the final list will be sent on June 30 to the International Federation, “FIFA”, provided that the selection is in accordance with the technical needs of the team.

The “FIFA” had notified the national federations of the participating teams, to extend the registration of players until next April 9, in light of the absence of the identity of North American representatives in the tournament yet.
Gharib pointed out that “a preliminary list has been drawn up to participate in the Olympiad, in coordination with the auxiliary apparatus.”
The Egyptian national team is preparing to set up a camp during the current month, in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics, but the only crisis remains, which is the difficulty of establishing friendly meetings with the European and Latin American teams, due to the quarantine measures related to the Corona virus.
