Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi said that next year’s budget will not affect the salaries of government employees.
He stressed during a press conference that “the budget will not affect the salaries of employees of the two classes, which constitute the majority of the people, and the upper classes are targeted in this budget.”
He added that “the budget was presented to the political blocs and all of them were supportive of the government’s actions.”
Earlier in the day, Iraqi Planning Minister Khaled Battal said that the Iraqi economy is going through the most difficult crisis in its history, which is a complex crisis, resulting from “the unilateral and rentier economy of its economy.”
