Atlanta to spend $1M settlement to spouse and children of Rayshard Brooks

ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Metropolis Council on Monday voted to approve a $1 million settlement payment for the household of Rayshard Brooks, who was shot and killed by a law enforcement officer.

Brooks, a 27-yr-previous Black guy, was shot adhering to a confrontation with two white law enforcement officers in June 2020. The capturing came just weeks immediately after the death of George Floyd under the knee of a Minneapolis police officer.
