Barcelona is seeking to support the team during the upcoming winter transfer market, especially after the departure of Argentine star Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain, and the return of French striker Antoine Griezmann to his former team, Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish newspaper “Sport” said, in its issue issued on Saturday morning, that Barcelona is planning to obtain the services of the star Raheem Sterling, the Manchester City winger, on loan during the next winter Mercato.
The newspaper added that Matthew Al-Yamani, the Catalan club’s sporting director, tried to include Sterling during the last summer transfer market, but he could not sign him, and the club will try again in January in order to borrow the player, who is a priority for the Catalan team.

The newspaper pointed out that the Manchester City star welcomed joining Barcelona, as he sees it as an ideal destination in order to get the main participation, after he became with Pep Guardiola in City during the last period.
The 26-year-old English star joined Manchester City in 2015 from Liverpool, and has a contract with the heavenly team until June 2023.
Sterling participated in 297 matches for Manchester City in all competitions, scoring 115 goals and providing 87 assists.
