Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The world’s 500 largest companies generated revenues of $ 33.3 trillion and profits of $ 2.1 trillion in 2019, according to a Fortune Global 500 estimate.
The list for 2019 included 6 state-owned oil companies, which are today among the largest oil companies in the world.
The list classifies companies according to their total revenues for the fiscal years ending on or before March 31, 2020.
China topped the list of the largest state-owned oil companies, with Sinopec in the first place, followed by the China National Petroleum Corporation in second place on the list, with total revenues of $ 407 million and $ 379 million, respectively.
Saudi Aramco ranked third on the list of the largest oil companies according to the “Fortune” ranking, with total revenues exceeding $ 329 million.
