She said that the symptoms are feeling very tired, high fever, failure to respond to antibiotics, swelling in the joints, especially the knee joint, and there can be an exchange of swelling between one knee and another, or the heels, skin rashes and involuntary movements.
She added that doing a throat swab is necessary to avoid the effect of rheumatic fever on the heart, because not every sore throat is diagnosed as rosary inflammation that leads to rheumatic fever.
