Jabari Parker’s career continues downhill and without brakes. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Celtics have cut the power forward for the season that begins in a few days.
That Boston has now chosen to stop having Parker is no coincidence. The aforementioned journalist points out that the 26-year-old player’s contract would have been guaranteed at the beginning the regular season. Before starting the campaign, Parker would receive only $ 100,000, if he started it his insured emoluments would go up to $ 1.1 million, and if he finished it, he would go up to 2.3 million.
The one who was number 2 in the 2014 draft has seen his career collapse due to injuries, which have weighed him down from being a star promise to a rotation player. In the previous season he averaged 6.4 points and 3.6 rebounds in 13.8 minutes with the greens.
For Parker to find equipment quickly seems complicated. The templates are usually closed before this date and the franchises are now focused on cutting those players who understand expendable. It is likely that Jabari will have to wait for the context to change in a team in order to have a new opportunity.
