The delta variable is one of the most deadly variables in Corona, which has caused an increase in cases and the outbreak of the second wave of the coronavirus in many countries.
According to the “thehealthsite” report, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said that the Delta Plus variant, a mutation of the Delta strain, has been under close scrutiny in recent days after evidence indicated it had spread more quickly than the dominant delta variant.
Delta variant under investigation
The UK Health Safety Services Authority (UKHSA) said the classification was made on the basis that this variant has become increasingly common in the country in recent months, and there is some early evidence that it may have an increased rate of growth in Britain compared to the Delta.
The UK Health Safety Services Authority said in its statement: “The sub-ratio of the delta variant is known as Delta AY.4.2, and it has been classified as a variant under investigation by the UK Health Security Agency.
According to experts, the delta variant is one of the highly contagious variants of the coronavirus, and a mutation in this variant could lead to a massive increase in cases.
Variable delta cases rise in England
According to experts, as of October 20, there have been 15,120 cases of delta variant mutations that have been confirmed by whole genome sequencing in England (UK) since it was first detected earlier this year, in July.
They also added that cases are on the rise, and about 6% of all Delta cases have been confirmed by whole genome sequencing across all nine regions of England in the past week.
Speaking about future mutations in the deadly coronavirus, the officials said, “Viruses change frequently and randomly, and it is not unexpected that new variants will continue to emerge as the pandemic continues, especially as the high case rate continues.”
