The Canadian government decided to impose stricter rules on entry to those coming into the country, and subject arrivals to mandatory quarantine until they are proven free of Corona and its mutations.
The British newspaper “The Guardian” quoted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as saying, “Those who enter the country will have to wait for up to 3 days to obtain the test results in a specific hotel at their own expense of more than two thousand dollars. As for those who got negative test results, they must.” Adherence to the quarantine system at home under stricter supervision and control.
He added, “Travelers who have tested positive will be asked to remain in government quarantine to check whether they are carriers of the new mutations.”
And Trudeau announced that “Canadian airlines will suspend their flights to the Caribbean and Mexico until the 30th of next April.”
He continued, “They will have to negotiate with their customers who are currently in these areas regarding the organization of return flights, and as of February 1, all international passenger flights must land only at airports in four Canadian cities, Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary and Montreal.”
Canada recorded 770,000 injuries and nearly 20,000 deaths in Corona.
