Nathan Buckley has been sent out a winner in his final match as Collingwood coach, with the Magpies scoring an upset 17-point victory over Melbourne at the SCG.
Buckley announced last week he was stepping away from the role after 10 seasons in charge, and the Magpies marked the occasion with a 11.14 (80) to 9.9 (63) triumph over the ladder leaders.
It was just the Magpies’ fourth win of a disappointing 2021 campaign, with Buckley to hand over the reins to his assistant coach Robert Harvey for the remainder of the season.
More to come.
