The Nigerian Medical Association announced the death of at least 20 Nigerian doctors within a week, due to infection with the Coronavirus.
The President of the Nigerian Medical Association, Anima Amudo, said during a press conference, yesterday, Saturday, that workers in the health sector have lost a large number of their colleagues, and during the past week alone, we lost at least 20 doctors.
At least 1,000 cases of Coronavirus have been recorded among health sector workers, since the outbreak began.
Nigeria has recorded more than 1,200 deaths and 82,000 cases of coronavirus so far.
