Madrid, Apr 4 (.).- The European investment platform for British emerging and private companies Crowdcube channeled 17 million euros to Spanish companies in 2021, 150% more than in 2020, through 13 operations, as announced by this Monday in a statement.
In 2021, the average number of investors in each of the operations was 604, of which 50% were Spanish and the rest from 70 different countries. In addition, the average size of each operation was 1.27 million.
Among the transactions carried out last year, the company has highlighted the investment rounds of Heura Foods, Wuolah, Velca, ID Finance or TropicFeel.
According to Crowdcube, these figures show that Spain “continues to be a central node, both because of the contribution of the Spanish market to the company’s global performance, and because the platform’s headquarters in Barcelona remained the spearhead of its growth in Europe.
At a European level, in 2021 Crowdcube channeled 295 million to 262 companies and doubled the size of its team, going from 60 to 120 professionals. In addition, in the month of December, the company closed a round of its own investment of 14 million led by Circle.
