The Egyptian Minister of Electricity, Mohamed Shaker, stated that the New Administrative Capital power station is the largest and most modern station for producing electricity in the world.

Shaker added during a session in the House of Representatives that the station of the New Administrative Capital is cooled by air and was established within two and a half years only, knowing that one station takes 6 years according to the system in force.
He explained that the ministry followed a scientific method of operation and maintenance, which led to an increase in capacity and production, and that Egypt now had a surplus and adequate reserves.
The minister stated that there will be a link with Jordan, Cyprus and Sudan, and consultations are continuing in this context, and the minister revealed: “We aspire to export renewable energy to Europe through modern networks.”
He pointed out that “in 2014, there was a big crisis in electricity, and a plan was made to solve this matter, and 3 large stations were established through Siemens with a value of 14 thousand megawatts, and this is a huge and great achievement, and this matter and other maintenance has been completed.” Pointing out that the voltage network with a capacity of 500 kilowatts and the capacity has increased to 4 times to reach 54 thousand kilowatts, and the minister revealed that there are centers to control the electrical network with forms of 5 billion and 400 thousand pounds, and there is a global control center in the Administrative Capital.
It is noteworthy that the New Administrative Capital power station includes 8 gas units that operate on the H-Class model as the latest technology in gas units in the world, and it is the system that is characterized by a production efficiency rate of 65%, which is the highest efficiency rate in the world.
