Bukayo Saka scored his first international goal as England warmed up for Euro 2020 with victory against Austria.
Gareth Southgate’s side struggled to break down their opponents as a largely forgettable first half ended goalless.
But England took the lead 11 minutes into the second half as Saka fired into an empty net after good work by Jesse Lingard and Jack Grealish.
Austria almost equalised soon after when Marcel Sabitzer hit a curling effort against the crossbar but, despite some nervous moments in defence, England closed out the remainder of the game to take victory.
There was a late blow for England, however, as Trent Alexander-Arnold limped off with an injury on his return to the national team.
The Three Lions round off their Euro 2020 preparations on Sunday with a friendly against Romania (17:00 BST) before their tournament opener against Croatia on Sunday, 13 June (17:00 BST).
