The Golden State Warriors recovered from a 19-point deficit in the second half to beat the Philadelphia 76ers 96-116 for their fifth straight victory. Those from Oakland continue to lead the NBA with a record of 16 wins and only two losses.
Stephen Curry led his team with 25 points and 10 assists; seconded by Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole with 19 and 17 goals respectively. Likewise, it is worth noting the good role of Juan Toscano-Anderson after passing through the changing rooms. The player with a Mexican passport contributed 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists with a perfect 6 of 6 in field goals.
“His energy is contagious,” noted his partner Andrew Wiggins.
The team led by Steve Kerr cut differences in the third period, and with two consecutive triples by Curry and his brother-in-law Damion Lee they faced the last period with an 84-86 advantage.
Curry finished 9 of 16 in shooting from the field; including a 6 of 11 in triples; and he took the duel against his brother Seth, the greatest exponent of some Sixers in the box with 24 points.
“We were very focused. We got into a little hole, but we knew that to get out of it we had to play harder, “explained Wiggins.
“The fourth quarter was just a massive defensive effort at 30-12,” added Steve Kerr.
