In a statement published by Al-Masirah TV, Saree added that the missile hit was accurate, stressing that this comes “within the framework of the natural and legitimate response to the continuation of the brutal blockade and aggression against our dear people.”
There has been no comment from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia yet, neither in denial or confirmation.
Most of the facilities for the production and export of Saudi oil are located in the Eastern Province, more than a thousand kilometers from Jeddah.
Earlier on Wednesday, Saudi Arabia’s Al-Akhbariya reported that the Arab coalition forces in Yemen intercepted a drone launched by the Houthis towards Khamis Mushait in the Kingdom.
On Tuesday evening, the Houthis announced that they had targeted Abha airport in Saudi Arabia with a drone, stressing that the targeting came in response to the air escalation of the coalition and its continued siege on Yemen.
In recent weeks, the Houthis have intensified their attacks on Saudi Arabia with the escalation of battles to tighten control over the Marib Governorate, which is the last stronghold of the internationally recognized government forces backed by the Riyadh-led coalition.
