How to Find and Mine Silver Ore in Valheim

Found within the Mountains biome, Silver ore can be mined from deposits that are primarily hidden beneath the ground.

Please note that Silver ore can only be mined with an Iron pickaxe or better.

While it is very possible to find Silver veins on the surface of large mountain tops, the chances of this occurring is quite rare so we highly recommend acquiring the Wishbone, as it will allow for a much more reliable and consistent method for finding and mining Silver ore.

Once you’re in the Mountain biome, equip the Wishbone and watch as the green particle effect begins pulse from your character.

As the pulsing effect becomes stronger and the pinging noise starts to sound more rapidly, take out your pickaxe and start mining beneath the ground. If you are digging in the correct location, you should find Silver ore beneath the ground.

If you’re still struggling, do keep in mind that some of the smaller Mountain biomes will not contain Silver veins, so definitely consider checking out some of the larger biomes for more luck!

Once you have found Silver Ore, return to your Smelter and fill it with coal and place your Silver ore inside. After a few minutes, the Smelter will have successfully made your ore into Silver Bars which can be used to craft any of the following items below.
