The Pagoda Gap
Start out by selecting the Streets level from the THPS 1 menu. Once you load and start the level, ride down the first grassy slope.
At this point, you’ll have a few different ways to reach the Pagoda Gap, so we’ll highlight two different ways, so you can pick whichever one is easiest for you.
The first way to reach the gap is by using the water feature in the park on the other side.
Cross to the far side of the level, then turn around and ollie up onto the right side, then ride it to the end and use the ramp-like end to ollie up onto the building on the other side, then slowly follow the pathway up and around to the Pagoda Gap ramp.
Another way (which I found easier and faster) is to head down the initial slope at the start of the level, then turn right. Ride down the road until you reach the end, then turn left and you’ll see a ramp leading up to a planter.
You’ll need some speed, so I recommend turning around and grinding up the handrail behind you, then ollie and wallplant to reverse direction, then grind down the same handrail. This should max out your Special meter, enabling you to move faster.
Head up the ramp and veer left, then grind the ledge between the two buildings. Hop off and it is easy to stop, turn around, then head up the path between the two buildings.
Regardless of how you get up there, once you are on the ledge between the buildings, you’ll find plywood sheets leading around the corner to the right. Follow them around to find another ramp that leads up to the top floor of the building.
Once you reach the top, you’ll find a massive ramp. Ride up to the top.
Gain some speed and ollie off the end of the ramp, towards the center, and you’ll fly through the air.
After that, just keep your board straight to make sure you stick the landing, and you’ll smash through the glass roof of the Pagoda, grabbing the Hidden Tape, and completing the Pagoda Gap.
