Taking Photos of Ghost Activity
By using a Photo Camera, players can take pictures during their Ghost hunts. If a picture is taken of Ghost Activity, it will earn the player $10 if they survive and $5 if they are killed by the Ghost. Each camera can hold 5 photos, so make sure to bring multiple cameras if you want to rack up some money.
Also, you can check your taken photos in your journal, and if there is a bit of text next to an image, you will know you succesfully took a photo that will earn you cash.
Here are all the different types of photos that will earn you money in Phasmophobia:
Figuring out what Ghost Type is haunting a location is the main objective in Phasmophobia, however, you can make some extra cash if you happen to take a picture of it or its shadow. If you really want to get it mad, be sure to say its name.
Unfortunately, Ghost hunting has its risks. One of these risks is that your friends can be killed by the Ghost. However, you can still turn that sad event into a profitable one by taking a picture of a dead body. We’re sure they’d understand.
Ghosts make all kinds of weird things happen when they are around, and one of them is to fill a sink with dirty water. As you are exploring a location, be sure to check every sink for some dirty water, as a picture of it will earn you extra money.
As a Ghost becomes more upset, it will start turning lights on and off, shutting and opening doors, making a phone ring, playing a piano, and much more. Take a picture of any weird activity you witness in your hunt, and you may get rewarded with bonus money.
A Banshee, Poltergeist, Revenant, Spirit, and Wraith will all leave behind fingerprints or footprints as they move about the location. If you use a UV Light or Glowstick, you can see these ghostly prints, and a picture of them will make you cash.
There are certain items, like the Ouija Board, Bones, and Voodoo Dolls, that will earn you money by taking a photo of them. These aren’t guaranteed to appear, but be on the lookout for them as they can help you finance some fancy new equipment.
Completing Optional Objectives
When you start a match in Phasmophobia, it’s always best to look at the whiteboard in the truck, as it will give you very helpful information about the Ghost that is haunting this particular location. Furthermore, it will tell you of four optional objectives you can complete to earn extra cash. The first objective is always identifying Ghosts, and the next three are randomly selected.
Other optional objectives include:
- Have a member of your team witness a Ghost Event
- Capture a photo of the Ghost
- Detect a Ghosts presence with a motion sensor
- Find evidence of the paranormal with an EMF Reader
- Cleanse the area near the Ghost using Smudge Sticks
- Capture a photo of Dirty Water in a sink
- Detect a room below 10 Celsius with a Thermometer
- Prevent the Ghost from hunting with a Crucifix
